My cat is stubborn, so am super happy that she is adjusting to this feeder! She is microchipped, but it wasn't always registering it when she would attempt to eat (I read that it can move from where it is implanted, so it is likely that is why it wasn't always being read, depending on the angle she was at entering) so we had to go with the collar tag as back up and retrain her. Now she eats from it no problem!
